Award-winning filmmakers Marjan Tehrani and Gabriel Noble came together circa 2006 to produce the feature documentary, P-Star Rising. At their Tribeca premiere, they were approached by Edelman PR for their first branded series, and Tru Films was born.
Next came the wedding. Two kids. And two+ decades of production around the globe. Tehrani & Noble are MARRIED TO THE GAME.
They are at the helm of every production, leading with empathy, not ego. Their sets are diverse, collaborative, and genuinely fun. They assemble the right team for every project—from lean vérité crews to full-scale productions—always matching scope without sacrificing intimacy or aesthetics.
They believe in thorough pre-production, which allows for a seamless production process and a final product that reaches it’s full potential. That said, they remain flexible and adapt to the inherit spontaneity of the moment. This, they believe, is where movie magic is made.
Gabriel Noble
Gabriel’s career began early, as a child actor, with a love for stage and first tastes of collaborative art. Upon graduating UCLA’s school of theater, film and television, he made the pivot behind the camera as a director, telling stories that moved both him and his audience alike. His first award-winning feature documentary told the story of a precocious 3-year. old girl who loses her teenage mother to the prison system. This same commitment to authentic storytelling is apparent in his work today, whether it is a doc series, TV commercial, branded content or a PSA. As journalist Katie Couric’s short format producer, he honed his interview skills, and has worked with luminaries such as Larry David, Lupita N’Longo, and President Carter, among many real people doing extraordinary things.
