Gabriel’s career started young, as a child actor with a passion for the stage. It was at UCLA’s school for theater , film & television that he made the pivot behind the scenes as a director, and soon after moved to NYC. His first feature documentary told the story of a precocious 3-year. old girl who loses her teenage mother to the prison system. This same commitment to authentic storytelling is apparent in his work today, with two decades in the game, directing docu-series, commercials, branded content and PSA’s. As journalist Katie Couric’s short format producer, he honed his interview skills, and has worked with luminaries such as Larry David, Lupita N’Longo, and President Carter, among many real people doing extraordinary things. He specializes in capturing authenticity with real people on screen, seamlessly blending intimacy and personal narrative with a brand’s message.
